Hubby's Birthday

So last week we celebrated my husbands birthday he turned #&. He not a big fan of his birthday. I think it comes from being an only child. There were no birthday parties or celebrations. His parents were 40+ years when they had him so there was a BIG generation gap. But I run the house so he has no say so in the matter. We went to Fiesta Texas (six flags) because he loves roller coasters. My sister and her family came with us also. Kids played at the water park. It was fun but sooo hot, even though we went early at 10:30.

We left around 2pm to race home to shower and change. Taty had her orientation at her middle school. She will be a 6th grader this year. Because we came home pretty late we decided to have his birthday dinner the next day at Red Robin.

It was awesome we went pretty early around 5pm. The place was not packed with people so I was happy. Our waiter was awesome. The food what can I say I have never been disappointed. Bill had the santa fe burger, I had the cobb salad and the kids had pizza & mac n cheeze.

So you know we had to have them sing to him. He had asked me you didnt tell them to do anything right. To which I said no, which was not a lie. My older daughter had gone to the waiter and asked him for a refill of freckled lemonade along with song and dessert for him. I fought so hard not to laugh when I saw the wait staff coming.

He was sooooo Mad but it was worth it.

I love you, Babe.

"Date Night"

Date Night takes on a whole different meaning when you have kids. Well atleast when you have 4 kids in the house not including hubby. Woke up this morning fed Duran breakfast and got everyone out of bed and in the shower. Hubby was busy negotiating with TMobile about my new phone. I have to say I love TMobile. I have never had any dropped calls or lost voicemails or text messages. I am getting a Samsung Memoir normally priced 250 with install but I will be getting it for 129.00 cause I have the greatest hubby.
Next we went to go get a registration sticker for the Honda Civic. If you need to get a registration sticker go to this place called Johns on 3103 S. Flores, San Antonio TX 78204, (210) 269-0006. It is owned by an older gentleman that makes the whole experience worth it. You just hang out in your car while he takes care of the sticker and chats with you about life. It might be out of the way and alittle hard to find but once you go there you will become a regular.

Then we met up with my sister and her family at Chunkys Burgers for the Horseman Challenge that was featured on Man VS Food just to be disappointed. There was no seating and a long wait for food. There was a sign outside saying they were not have the horseman challenge. But we desided to still wait and order. Once it was finally our turn to order we were told they were completly out of peppers. WHAT!!!!! So you watch them on Man VS Food with there whole gimic is to eat spicy burgers and they have no peppers. Was I mad, I stopped my hubby from ordering and we left I was not going to spend 9.99 on a burger and that does not include fries or drink to stand and eat it. So after leaving sooooo angry we went to Chesters.

Afterwards we came home hubby and Duran took a nap. Hubby woke up and we headed to the Palladium theater to watch District 9, It is a must see move. If you dont leave thinking about life and how much injustice there is in the world please take your blinders off. It is an awesome movie.

CNN I-Report District 9 Movie Review

By, Rajiim Gross

I Was Sooo Looking forward to this movie. It wasn't quite what I expected. The film was a bit deeper than I imagined it would be. The films I have seen directed by Peter Jackson have alot of depth to them. This film has depth and deals with alot of issues...Racism (which is the big one), Politics, Crime, Social Issues, and more.

Basically the film centers around 3 people. The Alien Hunter, The guy who becomes infected with Alien DNA, and the Alien who is a father who just wants to get his son and people home after being stuck on this rock called earth after 20 years.

Our family enjoys going to the San Antonio Zoo. We have a season pass for the family, so we have been there many times.. Sometimes in the mad rush of a one time visit to the zoo many miss the beauty that surrounds them. Remember to enjoy the simple things in life.
Landscape pics were taken by my 17 yr old son Raymond.
